Dr Bennett gained his medical degree from the University of Southampton in the UK. His anaesthesia training was predominantly based throughout London at some of its most prestigious hospitals including the Royal Free, University College London, Barts, Royal National Orthopaedic and the Royal London. He undertook multiple fellowships over the course of his training including in regional and bariatric anaesthesia, before completing his training with a fellowship in obstetric and gynaecological anaesthesia at the renowned Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital. Dr Bennett has extensive experience working within Western Australia, including further fellowship time at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and working in both anaesthesia and intensive care at Royal Perth Hospital where he now works as a consultant anaesthetist. He holds the additional role of Supervisor of Training within ANZCA, supporting the next generation of anaesthetists, and is accredited at all major private hospitals in Perth.

Professional Interests:

Dr Bennett has a broad scope of practice across a range of surgical specialities including ENT, plastic surgery, general surgery and bariatrics, orthopaedics, and obstetrics and gynaecology. He has a special interest in perioperative medicine, Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA), and use of ultrasound in perioperative care.
