Dr Leech trained as a doctor in the UK and completed 9 years of anaesthetic training in London working at a number of internationally renowned hospitals including Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore), Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, Royal Marsden Hospital and University College London Hospital. He undertook a fellowship in regional anaesthesia at Royal Free Hospital, London, and came to Perth in 2013 to complete a second clinical fellowship in ‘Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine’ at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

After gaining his Fellowship from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), and a brief return to the UK to work as a consultant anaesthetist in the NHS, he is now happily settled in Perth.

Dr Leech has worked in the Perth private sector since 2014 and is accredited at all the major private hospitals in Perth. He works publicly at Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group where he is an active consultant in the Acute Pain Service.

Professional Interests:

Dr Leech’s sub-specialty interests include acute pain management, regional anaesthetic blocks, ‘airway’ anaesthesia and paediatric anaesthesia. He regularly delivers anaesthesia for a diverse range of surgeries including orthopaedic, urological, and ENT/Head & Neck surgery as well as endoscopic gastroenterological procedures.
