Dr von Peltz completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia with a further Masters in Pain Management through the University of Sydney. Her training in anaesthesia was undertaken at hospitals throughout London and Perth, giving her a breadth of experience and dual College fellowships with the RCoA and ANZCA. She has completed further subspecialty training in Perioperative Medicine at Royal Perth Hospital, and Obstetric & Gynaecological anaesthesia at King Edward Memorial Hospital. Dr von Peltz currently works as a consultant anaesthetist at Royal Perth Hospital and is accredited at most major private hospitals across Perth.
Dr von Peltz maintains clinical interests across a range of subspecialty areas including obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgery, orthopaedics and plastic/reconstructive surgery. She has specific interests in the use of Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA), regional techniques and perioperative care.
Dr von Peltz’s non-clinical interests include healthcare safety and quality systems, quality improvement initiatives and professional advocacy. She has held several elected and appointed positions related to these roles within healthcare organisations, and within the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
