
Dr Sharples is a specialist anaesthetist who graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle. He completed anaesthesia training in Western Australia, working across all of the Perth tertiary teaching hospitals, before completing fellowships in simulation and education at Royal Perth Hospital. He completed a further year of post fellowship training in obstetric and gynaecological anaesthesia at The National Maternity Hospital in Dublin.
Dr Sharples holds a position as a consultant anaesthetist at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospitals, where he provides anaesthesia for a wide range of specialties, and is also involved in education and teaching.
Dr Sharples maintains a special interest in obstetric anaesthesia, while enjoying working across other specialties including orthopaedics, ophthalmology and urology.
