Dr Calvert is a Specialist Anaesthetist who completed her training in the major adult, paediatric and obstetric hospitals of Perth. She has completed specialty fellowships in Regional Anaesthesia at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and high-risk Obstetric Anaesthesia at King Edward Memorial Hospital.

Since attaining fellowship, Dr Calvert works as a consultant anaesthetist at Royal Perth Hospital. This ensures up to date and evidence-based practice in all aspects of anaesthesia delivery for her patients. Prior to medicine, Dr Calvert was an occupational therapist and utilises these skills to ensure patients are treated holistically with a focus on functional outcomes.

Professional Interests:

Dr Calvert’s subspecialty interests include regional anaesthesia for orthopaedic surgery, trauma, acute pain medicine and obstetric care. She is particularly passionate about ensuring a comfortable postoperative course for major joint replacement surgery and works closely with surgeons to optimise patients in order to achieve this goal.

She currently holds a seat on the Anaesthetic Mortality Committee (WA).
