He holds accreditation at most of the private hospitals in the Perth region.

He is extremely committed to patient safety and is Head of Department at SJOG Mt Lawley.

He was a committee member on the ASA WA state branch for 10 years, and was State Chair for 2 years.

Professional Interests:

Dr Longhorn did most of his anaesthetic training in Leeds and West Yorkshire, with a stint in Liverpool NSW. He did fellowships in both Paediatric ICU, and paediatric and adult cardiac anaesthesia. As part of his training in the UK Dr Longhorn, covered several ICUs which improved his expertise in managing critically unwell patients.

For the past 17 years Dr Longhorn has worked in private practice in Perth.

His special interests include anaesthesia for orthopaedic, plastic and reconstructive, ENT, ophthalmic and obstetric/gynaecological surgeries.
