Dr Cooper completed a Medical Science degree in the University of St Andrews in 2000 before going on to obtain her medical degree at Manchester University in 2003. She completed her specialist training in anaesthesia in major tertiary units in Glasgow, Scotland in 2012. Having done this, she came to Perth and joined Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital to complete speciality fellowships in Medical Education and Simulation and Quality Improvement.

Dr Cooper currently holds an appointment at Fiona Stanley Hospital as a Consultant Anaesthetist, where she provides anaesthesia for a wide range of surgical specialities, with a special interest in obstetrics and gynaecology. She actively partakes in educational activities to maintain up-to-date, current practice and strives to achieve the best patient outcome at all times.
