Dr Kiran Venkatesulu is a specialist anaesthetist working across the public and private sector. He trained in anaesthesia in India at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, one of India’s premier academic medical centres. He went on to complete a fellowship in adult cardiothoracic anaesthesia and critical care in the UK before moving to Adelaide for an obstetric anaesthesia fellowship. He has been at the Royal Perth Hospital since 2020, completing general, trauma and peri-operative medicine fellowships. He also holds subspecialty accreditation in advanced perioperative and adult transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) and Special Competence in Adult Echocardiography (TTE) awarded by the National Board of Echocardiography, US. This is a skill set he draws on in his high-acuity perioperative practice. He remains an active contributor to anaesthesia education, supervising ANZCA trainees and SIMGs and teaching regional anaesthesia, gastric ultrasound and echocardiography.

He is accredited at many major private hospitals in Perth. Dr Venkatesulu’s practice spans a wide range of surgical specialties. His special interests include regional anaesthesia, echocardiography and gastric ultrasound. He is dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality anaesthesia care.
